Sempergreen with Danish partner Jydsk at Danish Building Green Aarhus exhibition

On 3 and 4 May 2023, Sempergreen will be present at the Building Green exhibition in Aarhus, Denmark, together with its new partner for outdoor living walls, Jydsk Planteservice – located in Kolding, Denmark. The Building Green Aarhus exhibition is focusing on the transformation of our cities for the benefit of people and planet. Sempergreen and Jydsk will demonstrate the latest developments in green wall and green roof technology and how these solutions can help to make cities climate proof. You will find Sempergreen and Jydsk Planteservice at stand 34.

How urban planning can make a change in the global climate

At Building Green Aarhus, visitors will learn which role cities can play to make a difference in relation to the global climate. Cities are vulnerable to the effects of climate change: flooding, heat, drought and wind play a role in this. The construction industry carries a great responsibility in reducing the effects of climate change by building in a climate-adaptive and nature-inclusive manner. At Building Green Aarhus you will be inspired by both Danish and international speakers with great insight into urban planning and knowledge on sustainable solutions for the construction industry.

Green roofs and living walls help to make cities future-proof

An important step in making cities future-proof and climate-resilient is to increase the amount of nature by implementing more greenery. Grey buildings can easily be turned green by implementing a green wall or a green roof. At Building Green Aarhus, Sempergreen and Jydsk demonstrate the SemperGreenwall, the most flexible living wall system on the market. With its Cradle-to-Cradle certification, the SemperGreenwall fits perfectly within the circular building strategy. The green wall system’s fire safety certificate makes the living wall system applicable for high-rise buildings and escape routes. SemperGreenwalls have already been applied in Danish construction projects, for example, at a car park at a Copenhagen hospital and at a car park in Roskilde. At the fair, Sempergreen will also demonstrate its green roofs systems. Green roofs can make a huge contribution in storm water management during heavy rainfall. Next to that, green roofs are beneficial to the local biodiversity, the reduction of the urban heat island effect, provide sound insulation and  improve the air quality in the city.
