Building green with living walls to make cities future-proof

In order to make cities greener, future-proof and climate-resilient it is important to increase the amount of nature by implementing more greenery. Grey buildings can easily be turned green by applying a green wall or a green roof. At Building Green Copenhagen, Sempergreen and Jydsk will demonstrate the SemperGreenwall, the most flexible living wall system on the market. With its Cradle-to-Cradle certification, the SemperGreenwall fits perfectly within the circular building strategy. The green wall system’s fire safety certificate makes the living wall system applicable for high-rise buildings and escape routes.

Green roofs contribute to storm water management

Sempergreen will also demonstrate its green roofs systems at the exhibition together with Havia. Green roofs can make a huge contribution in storm water management during heavy rainfall. Next to that, green roofs are beneficial to the local biodiversity, the reduction of the urban heat island effect, provide sound insulation and improve the air quality in the city.

Sempergreen's project solutions in Denmark

Outdoor SemperGreenwalls have already been applied in Danish construction projects, for example, at a car park at a Copenhagen hospital and at a car park in Roskilde.  Wonderful examples of green roof projects in Denmark are a residential area north of Silkeborg and the Tjorring School in Herning.
